This project was a full new-construction paint job on a riverfront home near Fort Caroline in Jacksonville, completed for a longtime builder partner. Unlike a repaint or renovation, this was a ground-up finish: every surface inside and outside the home needed to be prepped, primed, and painted before the homeowners could move in.

Quality Touch Painting has worked with this builder for more than 20 years. Over two decades of consistent, quality work built the kind of trust where the builder brings Quality Touch onto their projects as a matter of course and recommends the crew to other builders and homeowners.

The finishing scope covered nearly every surface of the home. Inside, that meant walls, built-in shelving, interior trim, ceilings, interior doors, windows, and columns, along with dedicated spaces such as the water supply room, all bathrooms and bedrooms, the safe room, and the laundry room. Outside, the crew handled exterior walls, soffits, trim, porch ceilings and trim, porch columns, and exterior fascia, plus the exterior of the pump house, a greenhouse, and both the interior and exterior of the garage. If a surface inside or outside the home needed finishing, Quality Touch Painting handled it.

The project was budgeted at $350,000. Quality Touch Painting worked from the builder's blueprints to calculate every area that would need work and returned an itemized estimate covering the full interior and exterior scope. Once the builder and homeowner approved the budget, the job was scheduled to begin.

Work began on May 2, 2024, and the final day on the job was October 6, 2025. New construction timelines run longer than a typical repaint because painting crews have to wait for other trades to finish their sections before moving in behind them. Throughout the job, the foreman and production manager reviewed the budget weekly, tracking hours and materials against the original estimate. The owner visited the site weekly, the production manager visited about three times a week, and the foreman was on-site every day, working directly with the builder's own project manager to stay aligned on plan changes and budget as the project evolved.

The biggest challenge on this job was coordination. With multiple trades working through the same home at different stages, the crew had to carefully time its work around other contractors so that no one's work interfered with anyone else's.

The project followed a clear path: an estimate built from the builder's plans and specs, a site visit and job walkthrough with the builder, gathering starting supplies, assigning the foreman best suited to this type of job, completing the work, purchasing additional materials as needed along the way, several progress walkthroughs, a final punch list, and a last walkthrough before the homeowners moved in.

The home was finished to the builder's specifications and delivered on a timeline appropriate to a project of its scale and complexity, culminating in the homeowners moving into their finished riverfront home.

A homeowner on Ponte Vedra Blvd in Ponte Vedra Beach wanted a fresh look for their home and hired Quality Touch Painting to repaint the exterior stucco and shutters in a new color.

The homeowner found Quality Touch Painting through word of mouth and the company's reputation in the area.

The plan was straightforward but thorough: clean and prep every exterior surface, then repaint the home in its new color scheme.

The estimate covered pressure washing of the home's exterior, prep and repainting of the pool benches, all trim (with prep as needed and a coat of Aura finish paint), the pergolas, the garage doors, the full stucco exterior, and sealing the stone tops above painted surfaces. All told, the completed scope of work represented a total investment of just over $60,000.

The process began with a jobsite walkthrough, followed by a detailed estimate. Once the homeowner reviewed and accepted the pricing, the job was scheduled.

A foreman was on-site with the production manager checking in to keep the job on track and on budget. The crew was on time and on-site every day, kept the property clean and organized, and worked efficiently throughout the job.

The only real challenge on this project was weather. Florida rain interrupted work on several days, which the crew scheduled around as it came.

The homeowner was very pleased with the finished result, and the relationship didn't end at the final walkthrough. Quality Touch Painting continues to handle ongoing maintenance and painting for this client.

Church of Good Shepherd needed all of its doors refinished: large, old, and heavily detailed wooden doors that had grown weathered and worn over time and were in need of serious repair.

The church chose Quality Touch Painting for a job most painters simply aren't equipped to take on. The company's reputation for custom, detail-intensive work made it the clear choice for restoring doors of this age and craftsmanship.

The approach called for a full restoration rather than a simple repaint. Quality Touch Painting removed all of the doors and installed temporary plywood to secure the openings while the work was underway, then transported the doors to its own warehouse. There, the crew stripped, scraped, and cleaned away the old finish, sandblasted all of the hardware, repaired damaged areas with epoxy wood filler, sanded the doors and casing trim, and applied a fresh stain and two coats of finish. Once complete, the doors and hardware were reinstalled and the temporary plywood removed.

The project covered eight door openings throughout the church campus, including entrances, sanctuary doors, and courtyard access points. Because door and hardware repair can turn up unforeseen issues once work begins, and material costs continue to rise, the project was budgeted and billed on a time-and-materials basis, with an estimated investment in the $38,000 to $40,000 range.

As with the Ponte Vedra Blvd project, the process started with a walkthrough of the site and doors, followed by a detailed estimate for the church to review and approve.

The same on-site oversight structure that keeps every Quality Touch Painting project on budget, a foreman and production manager tracking progress and cost, kept this project on track despite its highly custom nature.

Restoring century-style doors of this size and detail meant careful, methodical work at every stage, from hardware sandblasting to matching stain and finish across every door and casing.

The church was elated with the final results. The doors were returned to the property looking restored and beautiful, ready to serve the congregation for years to come.
